Snap-on is a proven franchise business model, outlasting every economic tide including the Great Depression.
We offer a very powerful brand, so franchisees know they have a great product. The independent consulting group Frost and Sullivan ranks Snap-on as the number 1 preferred tool brand, by as much as 9 to 1.
We also offer a well-established, top notch training program at a customized training facility in Dallas, TX. Once that’s completed, new franchisees are then supported on the road every day of the week for at least the first three weeks, more if desired, in which a trained professional franchise developer will ride along with them on every call… introducing them and helping them with selling, cash collection and information gathering techniques. After that, a sales developer rides along with a franchisee at least four times a year.
The proven business model, #1 brand, and strong support system, make Snap-on an attractive franchise option.
What kind
of potential
franchisee is your opportunity best suited for ?
Franchisees have joined Snap-on from a variety of backgrounds and built successful businesses. Many have come from management and retail jobs while others have been technicians in their previous careers. We’re one of the largest tool companies in the world, so we can teach tools. What we can’t teach is work ethic. You must be highly motivated and have an excellent work ethic to be the best at running your own business. And, we’ve got a system and process in place to successfully equip prospective franchisees who are enthusiastic and determined to do well.
They are also going to be working in a mobile store that is actually a truck. So, they’ve got to be comfortable driving a truck. When they get to their customer’s place of business, they’re going to be going in and out of work shops. We want to make sure they are comfortable in the environment in which they are going to work.
Is your opportunity suited for absentee ownership
or multiple units ?
As a new franchise owner, Snap-on franchisees are required to operate the franchise and call on customers. However, after a franchisee really learns the business and becomes qualified, Snap-on encourages multiple-unit ownership.
Many of our qualified franchisees own several units, some as many as six mobile stores, operated by their own employees. Some chose to spend time out on the road working with their team, while others still operate a store of their own. Either way, multi-store ownership is a great way to grow and expand your opportunity to expand your opportunities with Snap-on.
What does it cost and what do you provide?
We offer in-house financing to a qualified franchisee who can join Snap-on for as little as $46,062 - $61,362 , and there’s no need for a “bricks and mortar set-up.”
With the investment comes classroom and in-the-field training for at least the first month, with additional sales boosting ride-along support quarterly and a National Consumer Care Center always available to franchisees and their customers.
Snap-on has its own distribution and service center network and provides a continual flow of innovative products.
Where are we going with this ? What does the future look like ?
Vehicles are ever-changing and we equip technicians with our leading tool and diagnostic solutions to stay abreast of the new technologies. There’s a constant need for new products in the marketplace, for example the standard family car today has over 50 computer driven systems from fuel injection to traction control to safety and comfort features.
We’ve been in business over 90 years because we are prepared to respond to these changes in the marketplace, and we expect to continue our innovation leadership in both our products and our franchise service.
Globally, the number of cars on the road has increased, however there has been a decrease in new car sales. Consumers are driving their current vehicles longer, and with the average car on the road 10 years old, it will mean more repairs will be needed.
