Savannah Brooklyn Ross is a mom, plain and simple. She loves her kids and her husband and given the chance she would appear on stage wearing a baseball cap and jeans. She lives in Chatham, Ontario, but is originally from British Columbia. Her kids Ryan and Ethan are both playing hockey and when she isn’t at the arena, you can hear Savannah on her cell phone cheering them on.



When asked what words best describe her and the first words out of her mouth were “ hockey mom ” -  that really cements the relationship she has with her kids. It’s family first !

When I was asked to interview Savannah, I did my homework and found out that she is a real role model. She took a series of disasters that would have turned most people into emotional wrecks, and instead she became wonder woman taking positive action that produced amazing results.



So how did a young mom from the west, on the verge of losing everything, become someone known as “ Rich Mom ” ? Savannah shared her story with us, and we learned how she went from being on the verge of bankruptcy to creating over $3,l50,000 in just six months. We listened and we learned…



Here’s how it all began, “ Savannah was a self-employed makeup artist working part time. She was a Mary Kay distributor at the level where she was driving a Mary Kay car that said she was a leader. Her husband was a school teacher. They had a mortgage, an RRSP and a car payment. They were good parents; they paid their bills and felt they were being financially responsible. ”



It was just before Christmas, about 5 or 6 years ago when they had a house fire that left them living in a hotel room with a baby and a toddler. They learned that their baby boy was very sick and could be dying. The loss of income and the medical bills for that little guy was just the beginning, the teachers union went on strike and her
husband’s strike pay wasn’t going to stretch enough to cover all of their expenses. Talk about tough luck !



Now instead of just worrying about their growing debt, Savannah and her husband were wondering how they were going to eat. Divorce and bankruptcy were options they both began to consider, stress was their constant companion ! Knowing that they only had each other, they decided to be proactive and they called a realtor to list their house that had been renovated after the fire. Their realtor, who was also a friend, recommended they look for answers that could be found in the books written by others who had been through tough times. It was reading those books that helped Savannah find answers that could work for her and her family. According to her, it was learning from those experts that has changed her life forever.
